The signing of the agreement between the Clifton Heights Borough Council and the Upper Darby School District will be held at 7:00 P.M. at the Borough Council Meeting on February 15, 2022
This memorializes a tentative agreement that was jointly announced in August. Under the agreement, the Upper Darby School District will renovate the existing athletic fields as part of the construction of the Clifton Heights Middle School. The school will be constructed on the portion of the property closest to North Springfield Road and then ownership of the athletic fields will be turned over to Clifton Heights Borough. While the property is currently owned by the Upper Darby School District, the Borough of Clifton Heights had leased the land since 1977. When the project is completed, Clifton Heights will acquire the deed for the field portion of the property.
